So last night Madison didn't sleep. AGAIN. I am talking up every 2 hours didn't sleep. Fine. She woke me up at 5:30 AM so I can pump and get the day started. Its great, for the first time in a long time- ok a couple of weeks Jared and I weren't running around like idiots trying to get out the door.

This morning, in the interest of comfort and ease I slipped on my cheap clogs which look like these nice expensive clogs.
I hit Riverside to catch the green line at 7, by 7:10 I am running for the T. Yes I take the T. Let me show you what the Green Line looks like.

Yeah it looks like shit. The trains are old and horrible. They are the worst trains in the system, they are constantly late, they smell and they need to get shut down and turned on fairly often- I wonder if they get the bluescreen of death. Stupid Greenline. I hate them. HATE THEM. So this morning i was running for the T. Up the stairs, onto the platform and onto the T. As I ran up the stairs onto the T. My shoe fell off. That has happened before. No big deal. The big deal was the DOORS CLOSED. I tried to move up to the front to stop the train from pulling away from the station but some fat guy was in my way. So we left Riverside and my shoe there on the track, and I was on the T with one shoe and my bright green 'i love sushi' sock displayed for the whole world to see. My first thought was fine. I hate these shoes, I can just go into Boston and get a new pair but there were several problems with this train of thought 1) we are poor 2) nothing will be open and 3) i still have to walk around with only one shoe on. I decided to be mature and I got off at the next stop- and had to walk across the tracks in the cold with one shoe. Fine. Unfortunately it was rush hour inbound so I had to wait in the cold with one shoe for 30 minutes until the next train showed up. Sigh. I get on the train- terrified that they wouldnt let me on with only one shoe. Luckily I dont think the driver noticed nor did anyone else on the train. It was 7:30 after all. As the train pulled into Riverside, it moved to the inbound track. THE TRAIN RAN OVER MY SHOE. MY SHOE WAS ON THE INBOUND TRACK. I decided that if the train had run over my shoe, I was going home and going to bed. Then I thought, "crap, what if I break the green line" really- look at that train- that is entirely possible. I decided that if I broke the green line I was going to go home and go to bed. I get off the train and have to wait til it pulls away. Lo and behold- there is my shoe. Fine. Sitting there, as ugly as always waiting for me. I suppose there is a moral in there somewhere but I am damned if I know what it is. All I know is that my shoe got run over and survived.
